This is a first for GarunDa who have always been known for their heavy singles and takes; a love song which we think got inspired by frontman Ken Lappen’s current girlfriend. While its not 100% perfect in terms of vocal delivery and the final balance, it still makes a good listen.
Of Sirasa Superstar fame, Dasun Madushan from what we know is a big deal in the Sinhala music scene and this single of his ain’t too bad except the growl which didnt quite cut it as it was random and wasn’t part of the lyrics (in what universe do singers growl for kicks?) other than that, it’s worth a play ...
After a hoard of #SelfieRap on the interwebs, this single is refreshing…this kid (Tharindu Shalinda) right here does have a lot of that old skool soul and it would be intresting to see what he comes up with next.
