Banshee is the default music player comes with Ubuntu Linux. But it is very slow, special with a huge music file collection. Speeding it up is very easy. :-) Install SQLite3, If you don’t have it of cause. sudo apt-get install sqlite3 Optimize banshee database. sqlite3 ~/.config/banshee-1/banshee.db "vacuum; analyze;" That’s it. Banshee will be more responsive. :-)
