Stucked Water-bowser, Wilpattu. During the dry season small waterholes are filled with Water-bowsers. On our way to the bungalow we met a one that got stucked in deep sands. Too bad we could not save the water.
This Painted stork came out of water just to defecate. Is this a common behavior among them or just this bird? Nothing on it on the net but Wiki says “ The legs are yellowish to red but often appear white due their habit of urohidrosis or defecating on their legs especially when at rest”.
