Sri Lankan young quick Matheesha Pathirana has returned to Sri Lanka to recover from a hamstring injury that he sustained during the ongoing Indian Premier League 2024.
Pathirana who represented Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2024 picked up 13 wickets in 6 games at an economy rate of 7.68.
He is most likely to miss the remainder of the tournament and it will be interesting to see how quickly he can recover from the injury as he is a vital cog in Sri Lanka’s pace attack in upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
