The Intermediate Diving Championships organized by the Sri Lanka Aquatic Sports Union was held on 27th and 28th April at the Sugathadasa Swimming Pool Complex.
This is the second edition of this championships, and Bishop’s College became champions in the Girls category, recording their consecutive win with a close win of a 2-point lead over the runners up – St. Bridget’s Convent. The Bishopians had a total of 92 overall points, while the Bridgetians had 90 points.

The Royal College divers became champions in the Boys category with a total of 178 points. St. Joseph’s College finished 2nd in line with 106 points.
The competition was run in 7 age categories varying from Under 09 to Open age groups. This competition will bridge the Novices-qualified divers to the National age group competitions. The Divers will be considered intermediate qualified when they are in the top 6 positions of the events.
