Sri Lanka ‘A’ Team registered a convincing win over Afghanistan ‘A’ Team in the second Unofficial ODI of the five-match series played today (30th April) at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota. With this win, the hosts lead the series 2-0 with 3 more games to go.

Opting to bat first, Afghanistan were knocked over for just 121 runs as Sri Lanka produced a brilliant collective bowling effort. Seamers Mohamed Shiraz, Chamika Gunasekara and off-spinner Sahan Arachchige picked up 2 wickets each for the hosts.

Due to the rain interruption, Sri Lanka were set an easy target of 101 runs from 30 overs. They managed to cruise to the target in 15.2 overs, losing only 2 wickets. Kamil Mishara top scored for the hosts with a knock of 45 runs off 45 balls with 6 fours.
