On January 1, you came together from all corners of the globe, ready to answer the call of our Bloganuary challenge and write for 31 straight days. And, oh, how you wrote! 

6,140 people published at least one blog post during the challenge. A total of 33,639 blog posts were published throughout the month, answering the daily prompts and tagged with #bloganuary. All those posts reached an audience of 6,262,733 readers. That’s more than the population of Denmark!

But that’s just the beginning.

  • 401,355 people clicked the “Like” button on Bloganuary posts.
  • 34,403 people left comments.
  • Posts were written in 11 languages.
  • 152 people published blog posts answering all 31 prompts—wow!

Though we’re incredibly proud of all our Bloganuary participants, that last number is especially impressive. Life has a way of getting in the way of any creative pursuit, yet 152 bloggers stared down writer’s block, hectic schedules, overtime at work, family obligations, and who knows what else—and still published a blog post every. Single. Day.

    I only just signed up to WordPress the other day, so I don’t know if bloganuary is a new concept, but I posted one day and think it’s a great idea.
    I, for one, found it welcoming and informal as a newbie to writing, blogging, and Internet stuff (beyond shopping and apps) until recently.
    I guess I always considered blogging to be off-limits to such a neanderthal as myself, but it felt nice to rub shoulders with literary high society and be a blogger for a day! 💻😄👍🏻

      We both have some similarities when it comes to it. It does definitely help when you get writers block and don’t know what to write about.

    It was my first time joining in with Bloganuary and I enjoyed it. I did a majority of the prompts. There were just eight prompts I didn’t do.

    Thank you so much for posting this I’ve been working hard on my WordPress since early last year and it’s been a great success and a great feeling that people actually listen to me lol. I do try to promote stuff that I am serious about and I always try to spread the truth in fact because there’s too much
    misinformation going around already in the world. Anyway thank you so much.
