Miss Potter- Movie

The works of Beatrix Potter have been always close to my heart. It might be because just like her, I have a never ending childlike fascination for animals and nature. I used to spin long tales of woodland creatures and fairies for my little one, long ago, and the Tales of Benjamin Rabbit by Beatrix Potter were always an inspiration. To this day, I can spend hours gazing at her intricate sketches.

Later on, I moved on to writing and at one point translated Beatrix Potter's stories out of sheer love. My love for painting too was rekindled around that time and to this day I am the happiest when I am sketching and painting little creatures and fairy houses.

I had never come across Beatrix Potter's life story before, so finding a movie based on her life was quite refreshing. This movie is a bit sad but lovely at the same time. It gives us insight to how hard it must have been for her to start up as an author and illustrator in an era where no one thought much about  'just stories written for children'. 

Sometimes when no one really believes in you- not even yourself- you just need one person who does. One person who believes in you unconditionally and without accepting any excuses from you. Then, and only then, miracles can happen.

Thank you to all those believers who happen to cross the paths of the reluctant creators. Always remember that you are the reasons behind some great miracles!
