Peering in, reaching out

For a string of thought to write about.

All fly by, some now out of reach,

None seem profound enough to preach.

Words of knowledge, a soothing rhyme,

An idea long lost to time,

To summon forth in a clear route,

Harder done, than when thought out.

Loss of will and growing doubt,

Wondering what it’s all about.

An arduous task to find a way,

Past this state of disarray.

To write is to think, to think is to solve,

Raise a problem and watch it evolve.

Till words flow forth and you find your sight,

The only course, shut up and write!
