The tournament which is played as a 20-over tournament among district teams, with the participation of 26 sides under 5 provincial groups and the table topper in each province will be declared as champions.
Western Province
Four teams named Gampaha, Colombo South, Colombo North and Kalutara in this group are playing against each other. Currently, Gampaha and Colombo South teams have grabbed 14 points each, but the Gampaha Women’s U23 sitting on the top of the points table with the advantage of net run rate (NRR).
Southern Province
Galle Women’s U23 Team has already been declared as the champions from this province after winning their all five league matches against Matara, Ratnapura, Monaragala, Badulla and Hambantota.
Nothern Province
This group consisted of 5 teams: Jaffna, Mannar, Kilinochchi, Vavunia and Mullative. So far, Jaffna Women’s U23 is standing at the top with their positive net run rate despite having the same number of points as Mannar.
Nothern Western & Central Province
Anuradhapura Women’s U23 Team is almost on the line to become the champions in this province after winning their all four games against Kurunegala, Polonnaruwa, Puttalam and Matale.
Central & Eastern Province
Kandy Women’s U23 remain at the points table after registering three wins out of three. Apart from that, Kegalle, Trinco, Batticaloa, Ampara, Nuwara-Eliya are the other teams which are competing in this group.
