Holy Cross College, Kalutara set to meet St. Sebastian’s College, Katuneriya in the final of the Under 19 Inter Schools Division 2 Tier ‘A’ Two-Day tournament tomorrow (30th March) at S. Thomas’ College Grounds, Mt. Lavinia.
Holy Cross College advanced to the quarter final as the 3rd placed team after the completion of first round games while St. Sebastian’s College Katuneriya advanced to the quarter final as the group champion in their group in the first round.
Holy Cross College defeated Vidyartha College, Kandy in the quarter final to book their place in the semi-finals while St. Sebastian’s College get the walk over by St. John’s College, Jaffna in the quarter final.
Holy Cross College qualified for the final of the tournament beating Sri Devananda College, Ambalangoda in the semi-final while St. Sebastian’s College secured their place in the final defeating Sri Sumangala College, Panadura in the semi-final.
Sasindu Kaushan will lead the limited over champions Holy Cross College, Kalutara under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Prasad Niranjan Fernando as the Rector.
Chathumal Nimesh will lead the St. Sebastian’s College, Katuneriya under the guidance of Rev. Fr. B.K. Viraj Eranaga Rodrigo as Principal.
