Kavindu hit two hundreds in drawn game, Induwara gets five for Mahinda

Two U19 traditional matches of were held today at De Mazenod College Grounds and Ananda College Grounds in Colombo.

Kavindu Amameth’s 126 helped Mahanama College to post 363 for their 1st innings, while Inuka Karannagoda (75) and Rashmika Perera (52) scored half-centuries.

In reply, the home side were blown away for only 150 runs, with the opener Neshan Dias scoring 65. Chamika Heenatigala was the pick of the bowlers for Mahanama with 04 wickets.

When the match ended in a draw, Mahanama College were on 323/3 courtesy Kavindu Amameth’s 126 and Anjala Bandara’s 84.

Ayesh Shashimal scored 42 as Ananda College were bowled out for 159 runs for their 1st innings due to some exceptional bowling from Dhanuja Induwara, who got five wickets.

Mahinda College got to 142/5 at the end of day 1.
