Royal College, Colombo (A) and St. Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya (A) emerged as joint champions of the Under 13 Division 1 Inter-Schools Cricket Tournament.
Having won the toss, Royal College opted to bat first and managed to post 225/6 in 50 overs at Ananda College Grounds in Colombo. Nithesh Jayasinghe top scored for the Royals with 51 runs off 61 balls including 7 fours.

Rasula Madarasinghe also chipped in with a 77-ball 41 runs while Thumindu Somasiri contributed with 30 runs off 58 balls. The opening bowler from St. Peter’s College Leshan Perera was outstanding with the ball as he took 3 wickets for 12 runs in his 8-over spell.
In reply, St. Peter’s College posted 124/3 in 37 overs before the rain interrupted the play at Ananda Mawatha. Since there was no play afterward, the organizers decided to declare both teams as joint champions of the tournament.
