Nalanda College beat Dharmaraja College by 8 wickets in their traditional encounter worked off today (03rd July) at Nalanda College Grounds in Colombo.
After being 94/4 at stumps on day one, Nalanda College posted 226 for their first innings in reply to Dharmaraja College’s 164. Eranga Jayakody’s fighting knock (94) helped the hosts take a vital 62-run first-innings lead over the visitors.
Dharmaraja College once again faltered with the bat as they were bundled out for just 93 runs in their second innings as Minod Caldera ripped through their batting lineup picking up 5 scalps for 21 runs.
