Sri Lanka national cricketers Niroshan Dicwella, Kusal Mendis and Danushka Gunathilaka will face a disciplinary inquiry on the 29th July related to their alleged misconduct during Sri Lanka’s tour of England. 

The 5-member panel appointed by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will conduct the inquiry on the said date in order to probe whether the three players had violated the quarantine regulations during Sri Lanka’s tour of England.

Nimal Dissanayaka, a retired judge of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka will head the 5-member panel which will conduct the inquiry. 

The suspended cricketers have already written letters of apology to the disciplinary committee over the incident, ThePapare learns.

The three players were suspended from all forms of cricket following the incident, until the completion of the inquiry, therefore the fate of the suspended players’ cricketing careers could be decided upon the outcome of the inquiry.
