Two Sri Lankan players are currently placed within the top 5 spots of best averages in the all-time IPL list. Former Sri Lanka all-rounder Farveez Maharoof and IPL legend Lasith Malinga hold the 4th and 5th places on the all-time list respectively.

Maharoof who played for Delhi Daredevils in 2008, 2009, and 2010 editions have played for 20 matches and maintained a brilliant average of 19.25 while Malinga at 19.8. The specialty of Malinga’s stat is he has played 122 IPL matches and still maintains a mind-boggling average which reflects his contribution towards Mumbai Indians’ success over the years. Malinga also holds the record of the highest wickets in IPL history.

The best averages list in an all-time IPL list is topped by South African juggernaut Kagiso Rabada who has 49 wickets at an average of 16.26.
