Covid-19 Diaries -2

You came around and took us by surprise put us all in despair
You locked us up for a few months or so and gave us such a scare
And just when we thought it was all over you rose again
What’s the deal and why are you here.
It’s 2020 and we didn’t need someone like you

You brought some of us good things to be locked indoors for months
Giving us the rest and the reset we needed much before your time
For some of us you brought nothing by heartache and turmoil
With all our jobs gone and no money to pay our bills
Now some of us are at the verge of taking our lives away

Some of us are still enjoying working from home at our will
Some of us are clocking our hours back at work with so much stress
Some of us are going through some relationship issues, harsh this time
Whilst some of us are making babies and calling them Covid and Corona

We don’t know when you plan us to leave us alone
We really need to get back on with our lives and start living
We promise to take care of our environment and planet earth
We promise to behave and be better stewards of this earth

So let us be and leave us soon dear Covid-19
Let us start afresh with our lives and everything else
Don’t be so harsh and take our loved ones away
Its time to put the past behind and focus the future
