The first ever 8 Ball Pool Tournament for past pupils of Sri Lankan Schools residing in Qatar was held on 14th October 2016 in Doha, Qatar which was organized by Zahira College Colombo Old Boys Association in Qatar.`
The Tournament was named as “OZEE 8 Ball Championship” and it was the first 8 Ball Pool Tournament held in Qatar dedicated for Sri Lankan Community and Old Boys Associations of prominent Sri Lankan Schools. Hundreds of Sri Lankans gathered for this wonderful event which was held at “Hotshot Pool Arena in Doha, Qatar and “Hameed Al Husseinie College’s Old Boys were crowned as the Champions of this Tournament after beating Zahira College Mathale in the Final after very tight competition.
Many prominent Schools of Sri Lanka participated in this tournament and It was a great opportunity for the Sri Lankan community Pool Players to showcase their talents in a competitive environment and to get together & Interact with their College mates in Qatar.
Zahira College OBA Qatar had previously organized first ever Rugby, Cricket, Football, Bowling Tournaments & Blood Donation Campaign dedicated for Sri Lankan Schools & Sri Lankan Community in Qatar, under their Trademark “Ozee” banner and this “Ozee 8 Ball Championship” is their latest innovative & Trend setting project in Qatar for Sri lankan community. Zahira OBA Qatar is affiliated to Sri Lankan Embassy in Qatar.
