Ananda College VS Royal College

This big clash between the two premier schools in Colombo took place on Wednesday at the Royal grounds. Ananda posted 188 runs batting first and thereafter through a brilliant bowling performance by they managed to bundle out the home side for just 42 runs, a morale boosting 146 run victory for Ananda College.

Wadduwa MMV VS DS Senanayake College

A brilliant performance with both bat and ball saw DS registering a massive 212 run victory over minnows Wadduwa MMV. DS posted 282 runs batting first thanks to a timely century by Dasun Bimasha. Dasun then took the ball into his hand and bagged a fifer to restrict their opponents for just 70 runs.

Dushan Hettige’s century guided Ananda College to a convincing 41 run victory over Ananda Sastralaya. Ananda posted 222 for 5 in 44 overs before the rain poured down. Sastralaya was given a target of 156 for 25 overs according to the Parabola method but they were bowled out for just 115 runs.

Bandaranayke Collegewere in a spot of bother when they were bowled out for just 150 runs but two five wicket hauls by Arosha Madushan and Visitha Madanayke saw them registering a 97 run victory at the end.

The up country battle was unraveled yet again at St Anthony’s Ground on Wednesday. Prevon Percivel’s unbeaten 83 helped the visitors’ post 228 runs and in reply the home side struggled and ultimately was bowled out for 138 runs which gave Trinity a massive 90 run victory.
