මොකක්ද?
ජාතික ගීය දෙමළෙන් කියලා !
මම මගේ මිතුරන් දෙපළ සමඟ දිවා ආහාරය ගනිමින් සිටියෙමි.
“නෑ… දෙමළෙන් කියන්නෙ නෑ කිව්ව නේද? නෑ කිව්වට කියලද?”
“ඔව් ඔව්.. කියල”
“දැන් ඉතින් බලහන්කො වෙන දේ ඉස්සරහට”
“රට ඉවරයි”
මහා අපරාධයක් සිදු වූ ලෙසින් කලබල වී සිටින මිතුරන් දෙදෙනාගේ කතාව මා අසා සිටියේ නිහඬවය.
සැමවිටම මොකක් හෝ අල්ලාගෙන දෙපැත්තට බෙදී වාද කරනා මා මිතුරන් දෙදෙනා අද වෙන කවරදාකවත් නොවන්නා සේ එකිනෙකා හා එකහෙළා එකඟය.
“වර්ගවාදයේදී අපේ මිනිස්සුන්ගේ තියෙන එකමුතුකම..ජාතිවාදයේදි අපේ මිනිස්සුන්ගේ තියෙන එකමුතුකම.. අනිත් වෙලාවල් වලදිත් තිබ්බනම්..”
මම සිතුවෙමි.
දිවා ආහාරය අවසනද මාතෘකාව වී තිබුනේ නිදහස් උළෙලේදි ජාතික ගීය දෙමළෙන් ගැයීමයි.
මෙම සිදුවීම සිංහල ජනයා අතර මෙච්චර කසුකුසුවක් ඇති කිරීමට සමත් වූවා නම්, ඒ හා සමානවම දමිළ ජනයාගෙන් කීදෙනෙක් මේ ගැන කතාකරන්නට ඇද්ද? තම රටේ නිදහස සමරන උළෙලේදී තම රටේ ජාතික ගීය තමාගේ භාෂාවෙන් ගයනු කන වැකුනු ඔවුන්ට ඇතිවන්න ඇත්තේ මොන වගේ හැඟීමක්ද?
මම සිතිවිලි අතර අතරමං වීමි.
මගේ රට..අපේ රට..ඩෙසර්ට් එකට මුකුත් නැද්ද?.. මනෝමූලික කතන්දර..වර්ගවාදය..අභිමානය..අයිස් ක්‍රීම්..83..යුද්ධය..ප්‍රභාකරන්..වටලප්පම්…මහින්ද..සිංහලු..දෙමළු..දුටුගැමුණු..එළාර..භූමි අයිතිය..අපි..උන්..සිගරට්?
සිතතුළ කෙපමණ ප්‍රශ්න නැඟුනද, එක සිද්ධියක් මා තුල හොලමන් කරන්නට විය.
ජාතික ගීය දෙමළෙන් කීම නිසා මා මිතුරන් දෙදෙනාට නැතිවන්නේ කුමක්ද?
මට පිළිතුරක් සිතා ගත නොහැකිය.
ඔවුනට අහිමි වන්නේ වෙනත් මනුෂ්‍යයෙක් මත වෙනත් ජනකොටසක් මත පරාක්‍රමය, බලය පෙන්වා ලබාගන්නා මානසික තෘප්තියක්ද?
මම නැවතත් කල්පනා කරමි.
අනිත් අතට ජාතික ගීය දෙමළෙන් ගැයීම නිසා දෙමළාට හිමිවන්නේ කුමක්ද?
තමනුත් මේ රටේම කොටසක් ලෙස සිතීමද? එයින් ලැබෙන මානසික තෘප්තියද?
මම මුහුණු පොතට එබෙමි.
“ජාතික ගීය දෙමළෙන් කියලා”
ටොයියෝද බයියෝද බබයියෝද මේ ගැන කෙස්පැළෙන තර්ක ඉදිරිපත් කරමින් දොඩවති.
සැමට ප්‍රශ්නය වී ඇත්තේ එයයි.
සිරි ලාංකික උගතුන් අහස්යාත්‍රා වලිනුත්, දුප්පතුන් බෝට්ටු වලිනුත් වෙනත් රටවල දිය වී යන, අම්මාවරුන් මැදපෙරදිග වහල් කම් කරද්දි, තාත්තාවරුන් දරුවන් දූෂණය කරන, හාමුදුරුවරුන් උසාවී පාලනය කරන, නීතිය කන්‍යාව වේසා කමේ යවන මේ රටට මොන ආත්මාභිමානයක්ද?
වෙනත් දේවල අභිමානයක් සොයාගත නොහැකිව ජාතික කොඩියක්, ජාතික ගීයක් අස්සේ අභිමානයක් හොයන්න අප කොතරම් අසරණද?
ජාතික ගීයක් කොඩියක් තිබිය යුත්තේ ජාතික අභිමානයක් ඇති රටක නොවෙද?
ආ මල්ලිලා දෙන්ඩ බලන්න ඔය අත් උස්සලා… හොඳ හූහූහූ…වක්…

අජිත්, මම මේ ලිපියෙන් ඉලක්ක කලේ ඔක්කෝම පැත්තකින් තියලා ජාතික ගීය වගේ එකකට මෙච්චර වැදගත්කමක් දීම ගැන මගේ අදහස.
නමුත් ජාතික ගීය කියන බක්ක මෙච්චර වැදගත් කරගෙන තියෙන සන්ධර්භයක් තුල, මේක දෙමළෙන් කියපු එක හෙවත් දෙමළෙන් කීම පිළිගත්ත එක ධනාත්මක පියවරක්, ඒක සක්සුදක් සේ පැහැදිළියි.
මේක විවේචනය කරන පිරිසට නොතේරෙන කාරණය (හෝ නොතේරෙනවා වගේ බොරුවට පෙන්නන කාරණය) තමා අප දෙමිළ භාෂාවෙන් ගායනා කරන්නේ අපේම රටේ ජාතික ගීය මිසක ඊලම් ගීයක් නොවන බව. එකම රටේ එකම ජාතික ගීය භාෂා දෙකකින් ගායනා කිරීමේ කිසිම වැරැද්දක් දකින්න නැහැ, ජාතිවාදයෙන් ඔලුව කුරුවල් කරනොගත්ත කෙනෙක්ට.
මෙතන තේරුම්ගත යුතු තවත් වැදගත් දෙයක් තියෙනවා. සිංහල, දමිළ, මුස්ලිම් කියන ඔය ජාතීන් තුනම නියෝජනය කරනා දේශපාලකයින් ඉන්නව තමාගේ ඡන්ද පදනම ජාතිවාදය මත පදනම් කරගත්ත. ඒ කිව්වේ වෙනත් ජාතීන්ගෙන් තමාගේ ජාතියට තර්ජන තියෙනවාය, ඒ තර්ජන වලින් සහ අකටයුතුකම් වලින් තම ජාතිය ආරක්ෂා කරගන්න නම් තමාට ඡන්දය දිය යුතුය හෝ තමා ඉදිරිපත් කරනා දේශපාලන ඇජෙන්ඩාවට සහය දිය යුතුය කියන මතය ඔස්සේ තම පැවැත්ම රඳවා ගන්නා දේශපාලකයෝ. දැන් මෙතනදි, දමිළ ජාතිවාදී දේශපාලකයන්ගේ හෝ ඊළම්වාදීන්ගේ ප්‍රධානතම ප්‍රයෝගය තමා මහ ජාතිය හෙවත් සිංහලයන් විසින් දමිළ ජාතිකයන් මත කරනා අකටයුතුකම් මඟින් තම අරමුණු කරා අසරණ වුන දමිළ ජනතාවව දැක්කවීම. තමාගේම රටේ ජාතිකගීය තමාට නොතේරෙන භාෂාවකින් කියන එක වගේ දේවල් ඒ අකටයුතුකම් වලින් එකක්. එහෙම තත්වයක් යටතේදී, තමාගේම කියා වෙනම රටක තමාගේම කියා ජාතික ගීයක් කරා මෙහෙයවන දේශපාලන ප්‍රවාහයකට සහය දෙන්න ඕනම කෙනෙක් පෙළඹෙන්නේ නැද්ද?
අපේ රටේ ජාතික ගීය දමිළ භාෂාවෙන් කියනවට, ඒ කිව්වේ “ශ්‍රී ලංකාව” නැමති රට, තමාගේ රට විදියට පිළිගෙන, ඒ ‘තමාගේ’ රට වන ශ්‍රීලංකාවේ ජාතික ගීය දමිළ ජනතාව විසින් ආඩම්බරයෙන් කියනව තරම් ඊළම්වාදීන්ට දෙන්න තවත් මරු මහරක් තියෙනවද?
මේවා සුළු දේවල් කියලා අප හිතුවට.. ජීවිත කාලයේම තමාගේ රටේ ජාතික ගීය වෙනත් භාෂාවකින් අහපු මන්නුස්සයෙක්ට, පළවෙනි වතාවට ඒක තමාගේ භාෂාවෙන් අහන එක සුළුදෙයක් වෙන්නැති කියල මම හිතන්නේ නෑ.
අපි මේකෙන් රට පුරා ඉන්න සහෝදර දමිළ ජනතාවට දෙන පණිවිඩය මේකයි.
මේක උඹලගෙත් රට, මේක මගේ රට තරම්ම උඹෙත් රට. අපි දෙන්නම මේ රටේ දරුවෝ. එක සමාන දරුවෝ.. !
ඉතින් මොකටද උඹලට වෙනම ජාතික ගීයක්, වෙනම රටක්, වෙනම රටක් හදන්න තනන දේශපාලනයක් !
ඕක සුළුපටු මැසේජ් එකක් නම් නෙමේ.. අපට ඔය භාෂාව වෙනස් කරපු විනාඩි තුන හතර මහ දෙයක් නොවුනට, ගොඩක් දමිළයන්ට නම් ඕක සුළුදෙයක් නොවන්නට ඇති කියල මට හිතෙන්නෙ ඒකයි.

No matter how many generations of your ancestors have lived here, this is English country and they will always be brown skinned migrants here
They will have to speak English and adopt to their rules
They will have to sing English British national anthem
They will have to live according to English rules
You and me both respect that theory and live peacefully
So does hundreds of other language speaking people
You and me can’t ask separate federal government for Sri Lankan migrants, if you do so you will be able to see their true colour.
They will kick your as and kill you at once. Just like the way they killed our people in the past when they invaded us.
This is a Christian country, Church of England will be always their ruling religion regardless they follow religion or not. They will at least attend the church for their wedding ceramony once in their life, that’s it.
So what is your big fuss when it come to Sri Lanka?
Why you want two national anthems and all other different federal government in Sri Lanka?
It’s a Buddist country why you want things in differently when it come to Sri Lanka?
Yes I live in Britain with you, that’s why I want same theory in Sri Lanka
That’s why I feel for my country more than many idiots who doesn’t feel for my country.
me: ah well let’s see. English is not English people’s language. English people consist of 1. Vikings and Normans, 2. Saxons from Germany. They spoke mainly French and german later all became English. So they all are migrants. Original people live here are celts and their language is Celtic. I don’t see anyone singing national anthem in celtic.

Vicar from our local church went with us to Sri lanka during the tsunami, stayed in temples and help sinhalese buddhist people. My kids went to Anglican Church School and in the School Stage they always said they are Buddhists and encouraged to say so by the Teachers. Catholic schools here take Buddhist kids like yours.
finally, If you are descending from King Vijaya. remember Vijaya is from India and your ancestors are Indian as Tamils from north. Your ancestors came just 500 years prior to Northern tamils who were invaders. Both are migrant nations mixed with Locals. So you really have to sing your national Anthem (if it is not the English one) in Kuveni’s Language. Or vedda’s language.
