Space Cake Break at the Titicaca Lake

Look at what I stumbled on yesterday! This really really cool site that delivers personal messages to kids…from Santa! Just last year I was grumbling that Santa needed to get his act together and get himself an email address, and this year I found this.

Given that current favorites - despite my protestations - are Twilight and the Walking Dead, I had given up on the Santa charm being able to work on my kid this year - but having Santa say his name, know how old he is and what he wanted for Christmas worked. He was hooked.

And your niece, nephew, son, daughter can be too! [Alternately, there are options for adults as well, although I didn’t check them out meself. But knock yourself out :D]

The only bummer points are that Santa doesn’t pronounce Sri Lankan names very well, and that Sri Lanka is not on the menu at all - which means we show up in ‘Other Asia’ on Santa’s map - which really looks like Alaska to me. Confusing.

That aside, Santa is very obliging, will tell your kid to 'make sure to listen to your mother’ and add other bits and pieces into the conversation that make the message seem real. Totally worth a try!
