Ripples

I feel like a metallic blue river
being penetrated by the golden arrows of the setting sun
I feel the glimmering warmth against my cold blue velvet
and I take it in, I take it in
I’m flowing toward the void
and I’m about to take the free fall
but before I scatter and ricochet into nothingness,
warm me now, oh, warm me

My ripples, rising like soft sighs
stained in this golden yellow pigment
Welcoming the warmth
no matter how evanescent
I’ve been caressed by the transcendence of a setting sun
consoled for once, and yet, exposed
So before, before I scatter and evaporate into nothingness
warm me now, oh, warm me.

I'm a 27 year old girl and this is the space where I turn my feelings in to words, spill my thoughts, share things worth noticing and empty my heart to make room for more absurdities of life.
