When u have found a place to call home, that helps you discover the real you and empowers you to become all that god has called you to be, it really makes you feel on top of the world doesn’t it?? BTW when I say “HOME”, I actually mean “CHURCH”.

BUT….. contrary to popular belief, CHURCH IS A PRETTY COOL PLACE you know! Well at least to me it is. But I have to confess, it wasn’t always the case, and if you asked me “why?” I wouldn’t be ashamed or afraid to state my case.

Where shall I begin…

Let’s put it this way, I have come to terms with one very profound statement that to me bears a LOT of weight, and it states that “the closest to the truth is NOT the truth”. (In fact, it may actually be the furthest away from it).

Simple and insignificant as this statement may seem, if you open your mind to it, you will understand the weight it bears. Hence, on “that” foundation & also on both my personal experiences and that of others (which I have personally witnessed) I allow myself to very boldly & honestly state, that the CHURCH of Jesus Christ as “THEY” would call it, has TODAY become the furthest away from it. (at least in comparison to what it rightfully should be).

Let me elaborate..

I’d say that the manner in which Jesus is presented to someone is everything. (coz perspective is everything) And so, the one receiving the information can sway either way depending on the individual who presents JESUS to another. BUT….far too often, the one I love and represent and so passionately believe in, wanting to follow FOREVER is so often misrepresented.

“HOW?” you may ask me baffled, but the answer is simple.

It all comes down to your belief and perspective of who HE (Jesus) is, because that becomes your representation of him to the world that surrounds you. Which YOU have to admit may most likely be FAULTY.

And so, the CHURCH that is meant to host EVERYONE without “a judgement” despite rich or poor, sick or needy or even fashionable and imperfect or whatever else you want to call it, has instead DRIFTED FAR…….Faaaaaaarrr from where it should be. Hence NOW!!! The church, has instead become this poor institution that hosts the old school, one track minded, uncool and judgmental folk who oppose CHANGE. All of whom, call themselves “Christians” & then piously walk around taking the liberty of breeding (so called) “back sliders”. (Obviously!!! coz no one can match up to the standards being endorsed here).

So now! The church ends up with multiple groups of people that want to have nothing to do with church or God at the end of it. Resulting in a rapidly growing percentage of atheists, rather than actual church going Jesus believers… FYI this being all thanks to the expertise of a selected few “Christians”. (pssst!!! I wouldn’t blame them would you?!!… give it time & you will too unless of course they decide to change themselves soon)

So….despite who will or will not accept what I say here openly, this my friend has unfortunately become the reality of today’s church of Jesus Christ. And let me be frank here!!!!!!! “I tell you the truth” if Jesus truly walked the earth today, I really doubt that he would even sight what has become of the “church” today. Because I genuinely feel it may seriously remind him too much of the Pharisees’ he talks about in the bible.

**NOTE – “the closest to the truth is not the truth” likewise Jesus was not betrayed or rejected or crucified by the prostitutes, tax collectors or thugs it was his own, it was his closest and it was them that was meant to be his body!

So REALLY!!! Think for a moment, let’s be objective here… If Jesus really walked the earth “today” what would he be like?

Would he dress in a robe or wear pants? What if he were Chinese or Indian?

It’s getting to you already about how disrespectful I am being isn’t it – so if “YOU” can’t handle what I write, what makes you think you will actually be able to accept “JESUS CHRIST” if he actually turns up at your door and he’s not what you thought him to be..? Jokes apart!! That’s a problem don’t you think? Coz if Jesus isn’t what you imagined him to be, you just may reject him without even knowing it. But ask yourself, will it be too late when you realize you have shot him down with your judgements and persecution, just like they did. And look how that ended up, they didn’t even know what they had done until he hung there naked, abused, shamed and dead on a cross.

TO ME Jesus Christ is very real. And so, I would much rather change my mind to accept a god who I believe will present himself a fresh to me every day that MAY provoke my thinking, rather than willfully choose to live in yesterday’s reality that isn’t today’s God.

Yes of course, should you choose to throw at me that HE is the same GOD yesterday, today and forever I CHOOSE TO SAY he is also the new wine that needs the new wine skin, whose graces are new every morning… SO THINK A MINUTE!! Personally speaking, I don’t want to be the one that throws a stone at something I can possibly be guilty of, if not yesterday and today for what may be of my tomorrow.

So I choose to see the word of god in its wholeness and choose not to bring upon a judgment on myself in trying to pull out the specks from anyone else’s eye with a plank in mine. So with that in mind I choose to fashion my reality to be that which accepts the Jesus in “everyone” no matter how it is presented before me. After all “everyone” according to his word is made in his image.

But with that being said yes!! I will be wise and allow myself to be lead as I discern and separate “what is” and “what is not”, but in that I have a responsibility just like you to be CHRIST LIKE & kill the adamic in me…. so what will you choose when you have picked up a stone that draws out the flesh in you?

Look! he begins to write something on the sand now what will you do with the stone you have picked up? will you throw it at what stands before you or will you see the grace of god and toss it down, knowing that YOU CAN destroy, but you choose not to?
WHAT WILL YOU DO “TEAR DOWN” OR BUILD UP!
