My other half. Black or white?
There are different categories of guys. There are Caucasian, black, Indian, Asian, and Latino. My categorization is not complete and 100% accurate, however for the moment let’s assume it is. If I want to put myself in to one of those categories I will put myself in Indian category. As much as I hate to be called an Indian, I have no choice because when you say Asian mostly it means south East Asians and Chinese.
I m a Sri Lankan who is sexually more attracted to white men. Not that I say no to local guys but if I was given the choice I would choose a white guy over a local. Many Caucasian gay guys have the preference for black, Latino, Indian or Asians. The percentage of inter racial attraction is large enough for a social scientists to research on it. I am not a social scientist but this got me thinking. Is there a social or mental reason for this?
The simplest explanation is that opposite attracts. As simple as it may sounds, opposite can have many definitions. The main oppositeness in a hetro relationship, which doesn’t exist in a homo relationship is the gender. It’s the ultimate opposite. But a gay relationship gender is something they have in common. Having things in common might help to sustain a relationship, but still oppositeness is necessary for the attraction.
A thought flashed in to my mind. Are we trying to fill a gap by choosing a partner from another race? Are we trying to acquire the otherness by widening the oppositeness of our partners? Are we trying to be as close as possible to hetro couples?
I have given one possible explanation for the inter-racial attraction in the knowledge of my wide sweeping generalization. There are many guys who have other reasons for the attraction. For some people it can be as simple as just a preference like the preference of blondes or blue eyes.
Whatever the reason of Caucasians’ preference for Asian, I am happy for it. It got my guy attracted to me and me to him, and end of the day that’s all it matters to me.

But mh I do not think by selecting diffrent race it will help to fill gender diffrece.But As you already know The Gender gap mostly filled by role.(bottom , top)
I do not think there are big difffrence between hetro couples and homo couples.

well…. top and bottom its a whole different thing that i can write another post on it. 😀 being top doesnt always mean the ‘man’ in a homo relationship and the vice versa. there are differences between hetro and homo couples. as an example open relationships are not really rare in homo couples while in hetro couples thats rare. but then again there are lot of similarities. some gay guys want same kind of relationship as a hetro couple. including my best friend. my boy friend says that he is looking for a homosexual version of a hetrosexual relationship. 😀

What I’m beleave is sex does not matter to the relationship.Homo couple can have a relationship which is similar eto relationship what hetro couples are having.
mh Yeh it is true that most of Homo couples are open-minded I think that because being a Homo and accepting that is a radical thing that normally hard to a person.But that makes Homo peoples to open their minds to other alternatives for pleasure which are rarely hetro couples try to observe.
But at the end of the day what we call “love “is remain between two partners because both realtionships depends on “love” and inter trust between partnerts it is nothing about sex.
That is what I’m beleaving.

no arguement there on love. a couple regardless of sexual orientation should have love in between. difference i see here is waightage of sex in a relationship is higher in a homo relationship. in hetro relationship its normally love first sex later. in a homo relationship sex first love later most of the time. having said that, doesnt mean there are no exceptions. however sex might start a relationship between two guys or girl but if there is no love, there wont be a relationship in the long run. it is true that a relationship depends mainly on love and trust. but in homo world, if no sex or bad sex means end of the relationship regardless of love and trust.
this is not to say they only care about sex. they do it simply because they can. in hetro world, say a married couple, lets assume they have no sex life. what can they do ? find a mistress ? divorce ? its not easy for them. lot of things to consider. children, socila status and bla bla bla.
but then again sometimes in a homo relationship even sex life is not good, if they are having an open relationship. things can continue. there are some people who are in a relationship even there is no sex between them. i know few couples like that.

I know one hetro couple who is having “open relationship ” but what I do not understand is they both married and having childeren
and i know homo couple(les but they show as they are just friends) who is having very restrictive relationship like some hetros have.
any way this matter we can not talk and end because EVERY ONE IS UNIQUE
