In other words, UCSC not only has its own private cloud infrastructure but it also consists of Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Management technologies that enables Server Virtualisation, Network and Security Virtualisation, Storage Virtualisation, Operations Management, Availability, Automation, Orchestration and Provisioning.

This allows the School to automate most of the data center operations, centralise management of IT operations and create a highly reliable ICT infrastructure and in future, UCSC intends to extend the cloud solution and virtualisation model to promote energy efficiency and green IT initiations.
