It appears that I will be able to achieve one of my New Year’s resolutions, as I have registered with WordPress to start my own blog. About a year ago, my friend Mr. Nanda Wanninayaka suggested that I start a blog and offered to assist me with its technical aspects. However, I lacked the interest and confidence to write a blog in English.
Recently, I spoke to a teacher named Shalika Karunarathnna who had taught French and English at a leading school in Colombo. She suggested that I start a blog to share my experiences in sports, ICT, and life skills for the benefit of others. This idea inspired me to include it in my 2013 resolution, and I began researching blogging online.
Coincidentally, Wanni emailed me about his new post on the Buddhist radio channel. After reading it, I decided to create an account on WordPress and give it a try. To my surprise, I was able to create my own blog without any sighted assistance.
I have read about your life Mr. Dushyantha. There is a happiest point for my family when you visited India for participating in a seminar. You visited in my family. During that time you shared many things about your life. Now past has gone behind. Your family is my family friend for ever. We have all your wedding photographs and that will be with us as you are very important friend.
Congratulations Major Dushyantha on your many achievements & now, this blog. I look forward to following it closely. Best wishes.
