Now that your girlfriend has left you, all you can think about is how much you really loved her. When the two of you were together, you may have just taken for granted your feelings but now that she is no longer around you are realizing the truth about how you feel about her. Now you are thinking about how you can get her to come back to you.

You must have made some mistake in your relationship to cause her to leave you. We all make mistakes in our relationships so don't feel alone. You can't go back in time and fix it but you can change so you do not make the same mistakes again. You will have to make a conscious effort to do this and it may not be easy.

If you truly want to get your ex back, one of your first steps will be to apologize to her. Your apology must be sincere, not some generic 'I'm sorry' or it won't be very convincing. Explain to your ex that you understand why she left and you know you are to blame, and have some way to prove to her that you are making an effort to change.

For example, if you saw a relationship counselor to help you understand why things went bad, this would be a great way to show her you have truly been trying to fix things. It could take awhile to get her back with you, but during that time you can continually show her that you mean to do better.

When she has something to say about the previous relationship, let her express her feelings, do not argue back with her. You want to give her a chance to talk about what she has been thinking so she can move on and hopefully reunite with you.
