The Elle matches of the Freshers’ Meet 2017 were held today, the seventh day of the meet, from 9.00 am onwards at the University of Colombo ground.

Men’s and women’s teams representing the Science Faculty, Arts Faculty, Management Faculty, Law Faculty, Medical Faculty and UCSC participated at the event.

The final match of Men’s Elle was played between the Science Faculty team and the Arts Faculty team. The Arts Faculty team won the match, after a nail biting game, to become the Men’s Elle Champions. The final match of Women’s Elle was also played between the Science Faculty and Arts Faculty teams. After a close match the Arts Faculty team won the match narrowly to emerge as the Elle Women’s Champions.

A very supportive crowd had gathered to the ground to cheer and motivate the teams representing their faculties. Hope this enthusiasm continues for the next two weeks.
