Thurstan College demolished Richmond College by 8 wickets in their Singer-Cup traditional encounter which was worked off today at Thurstan grounds.

The hosts resuming on 106 for 5 on the second day went on to score 141 all out as Tilanga Udeshana captured 6 wickets for the visitors. The visitors coming out to bat in the second innings were troubled once again by Naveen Gunawardana as he completed another 6 wicket haul to go with his 5-for in the first innings as Richmond College was knocked out for 89 runs. Thurstan College managed to archive the victory target with only two wickets down.

Royal College took major honours in a Singer-cup traditional game against Dharmaraja College which was worked off today at Royal grounds. The visitors batting first were dismissed for a below-par 111, while the hosts declared their innings at 210 for 6 wickets with skipper Helitha Withanage and stylish left hander Kavindu Madarasinghe contributing with half-tons. The lads from Kandy came back strong in the second innings as they held the game to a draw by scoring 193 runs.
