Movin Subasinghe managed 6 for 43 against St. Sebastian’s College while Avindu Theekshana 5 for 65 helped Richmond put SPC under immense pressure.

Meanwhile Ananda College bowlers keep St. Anthony’s College Kandy at bay, handing the hosts a chance for first innings points while Royal College ended day one on 99 for 3 in a low scoring day in school cricket.

Wesley vs St. Sebastian’s

The visitors won the toss and elected to bat first at Campbell Park with the intention of putting the hosts under pressure early in the game. Things did not go according to plan for the visitors as the host, spearheaded by Movin with the ball ran through the Sebastian batting leaving the visitors in tatters for 153 in their first innings.

Wesley College did not have things easy with the bat as the hosts ended day one, reeling at 107 for the loss of 6 wickets, trailing the visitors by 46 runs with 4 wickets left.
