The second half kicked off after some fiery half time happening between New Youngs coach, the officials and the police who intervened.

The table seemed to have turned in favour of Solid SC, who in addition to having majority of the possession, managed to equalize through Ismail Abumer who capitalized beautifully on an Edison Figurado pass.

Few of the referee calls started going against New Youngs’ way in the last few minutes, twice in the case of Amaadi who was stopped repeatedly in front of goal as offside. The calls seemed very marginal and tensions began to run high as the spectators also started showing their displeasure.

Coach Ratnam Jasmin of Solid SC said;

‘Compared to the last match it was a really good performance. We were well organized today. It’s sad though to come out with a draw since we had some chances but we couldn’t convert them into goals. We will improve in the upcoming matches.’

A rather furious Coach of New Youngs FC, Rohitha Fernando said;

‘We were let down by the referee and that’s the main reason for not winning the game. The yellow card was not a yellow and he didn’t give yellow for other three similar challenges in the second half. We are not worried about Thilanka missing the next match since we have options to cover him up. Another forward player is returning from injury so it will bolster our chances. I am happy with how the team played.’
