Sujatha is pretty much everyone’s darling. She is the model
daughter, girlfriend, friend and citizen. To make things better we have know
her from the time she was a very little baby. If you guys remember she came
with the army personal and was the abandoned daughter of a war victim. If I am
right the scenes she saw when Madhini was with her are from the massacre that
happened during the war in the margin villages of Polonnaruwa.
From the time she was a small child Sujatha was always
responsible. This was something her adoptive parents taught her. She always
loved and cared a lot of how society treated people. She always wanted to make
things right and let everyone in society get the same opportunities as she did.
It is due to this that she starts a society which helps small children as the
mere age of about 13. She also used this same society to help Malithi her best friend. At her younger ages she persuades her parents
to take in Malithi after her grandmother tried to send her away. She was thus a
model friend and a good citizen
The obedient daughter part comes up when she helped her
mother and father feel loved and cared everyday. Niroshan and Chanuka were not
quite the model son’s but Sujatha did her best to be what her parents always
wanted from her.
She later joins the medical field to become a doctor. While she
did this she was also an undercover journalist under the name of Trishula. At
this point of time every household in Sri Lanka pretty much knew Sujatha and remembered
its theme song very well. As a story is nothing without a bit of romance, love
was brought into the drama as Shakya Thenuwara. So all of a sudden we come across
cuteness, love and sexual tension and it is a quite good change. While Shakya falls
for Sujatha first and all of a sudden she to understand that she has been in
love with him all along. So she becomes the ideal girlfriend at the end and all
us fans hope that she will be made an ideal wife and mother in the upcoming
episodes.
Sujatha as a character has a lot for us to learn from. She
has everything people ever want from each other; however Sujatha is not the
paragon of goodness. She of course made her big time mistakes and is pretty
much as silly as any of us. She simply could be any girl in society. She could
be you, me or the person sitting next to you. So at the end of the day the most
splendid thing the screenwriters have done is to make Sujatha a down to Earth
normal person. She is not better than us or lesser than us; she to some extent
is that person in us who strives for the best in the world. Thus is she a part
of us. So yes the screenwriters have done a great job creating her character.
The Actresses
The actresses who did the acting did a very good job of it.
The younger child actress was very sweet and was a gem. Then the teen actress also
looked cute and did the acting naturally. Then Nehara came as the older
Sujatha. She does do a good job but come on there are some flaws. Firstly in
some scenes she looks way older than her counterparts –actually as old as
Niroshan. This could very well be seen when she has close ups. There is also a
talk that Nehara is going abroad and yes Sirasa is going to drag the drama.
Well I believe the role should go to one of the Priyasad sisters or Thisuri yuwanika.

So let’s
see what will happen in the future. The trailers of this drama do not show promise.
It is going to be sad future for Sujatha. Sirasa will do anything to drag the
drama on till Nehara comes. Otherwise they will drag it till they could up with
a perfectly normal story as to why Sujatha’s face changed.
