Eleven years of total dominance comes to an end for the fiercest side from the Hill capital as Havelocks SC, who were at the top of the points table secured their chances for the Championship convincingly today.

With no doubt considered to be the under dog side, the Park Club lads have lifted themselves up from last season and left their fans with unforgettable memories throughout the Dialog Rugby League this season. Havies did not merely scrape thorough to the top but did so after beating the top 02 sides in the league, Navy SC (aka Raja SC) & yesterday (18th) Kandy SC by a massive 50-19 which pretty much took the Kandy lads by surprise & a lot to look back at.

Today’s (19th) match of Navy against the Lions ended in favour of the Havies & a million other un-politicized viewers, when the lions went on to beat Navy 46-38 securing Havies the championship.

Havies have displayed true sportsmanship, integrity and true passion for the game this season and have won the hearts of thousands of unbiased Rugby fans from all around. May you have the strength to take the local Rugby scene to a better level..!
