A MODEL CELEBRATION

A MODEL CELEBRATION

-Muaz Ahamed Fathahullah-

It was a day of Eid (Festival). At the end of the day, I took my diary to write some sweet memories of the day. I felt relax more than ever. So gone for a blog to blog why I felt relax.

Celebration started from early morning, I did my morning prayers (Fajr) first. Then had a bath and wear my new clothes which I bought for Eid. Then went to masjid to perform the Eid prayers which we pray only twice in a year. Mostly every Muslims have a special respect for the Eid prayers with them. So I feel relax to say that it’s a celebration with prayers.

After the prayers there was a small sermon hosted by the chief priest regarding the important of relationships and bonds between families and also within the family. It made me to think twice about my role in the family. I am sure that everyone in the sermon might take a decision about their role in the family after listening to the sermon. So I felt relax to say that it’s a celebration with an advise.

After the sermon I met each an everyone who had visited to perform the Eid prayers, although they are strangers to me, we shakes hands and also embraced in order to share our love. As usual, I wished everyone with the peace of God. I was happy to see that everyone did the same without minding their status. So again I felt relax to say that it’s a celebration with blessings and unity.

Then returned home and had our breakfast with all the family members as to represent the true bond of the family in everything. Before we eat my dad always used to reminds us about the people who are suffering from poverty and who don’t have a way to get their foods. Also he reminds to thank the God. So I felt relax to say that it’s a celebration with remembering whole society and also with delicious cups

Little later we started our Eid visit to neighbor’s and then to relatives places. Mostly in the day of Eid, all the relations gather in a place and convey their blessings. Then we just chat on several topics as it goes, which is such an interesting moment when the small ones take part in the conversation too. As in every year, after the Eid we planned for a family trip too. So once again I felt relax to say that it’s a celebration with a family spirit.

After the prayers (Luhar) and the lunch, as it was too hot outside, I just try to be inside the house. Some went for a nap. I just took my lap top and started to watch some motivation clips and religious videos which I had downloaded already. As it sounds deep, my sister, brother, mom and two kids from front house too joined me. Somehow it was very sensitive and all got excited after watching it. So I felt relax to say that it’s a celebration with a motivation.

After the prayers (Asr and Mahrib), I joined my friends and visited some of our friend’s places to enjoy the sweets which were made especially for Eid. It was really a fantastic experience which I had spent in friend’s places. Everyone enjoyed well. As it’s getting late we found that our friends list was not yet finished. So we planned to visit them on following days and we returned home after completing the night prayers (Isha). So I just felt relax to say that it’s a celebration with friends.

And then as one of our organization has planned a special and holy work (Ulhiya – slaughtering in a special way) to be done tomorrow. That is to represent the offering sacrifice to the God. So at last we had a meeting regarding that. As my Dad was the organizer, I have got lots of works to do tomorrow. So I felt relax to say that it’s a celebration with sacrifices.

At the end of the day after the dinner, all the family members seated around and exchanged their views on several things. As always it was a planning session of our family. I believe that planning makes perfect. Also everyone shares what they did from the morning with each other. And then all went to sleep as I took my diary to write something about Eid.

When I was closing my diary, I just felt relax to peak. So I turned to my last verse of my blog and spelled Alhamdulillah (Praise the Lord) before spotting the full stop.
