Styles, Fashions, Me and Them...

Most people here and abroad, who born in Sri Lanka says, there's no land in the world like this. But for me, this is a land of gaga,

Either they don't know about the world, or they don't know about Sri Lanka, that's why they see this as a noble land. For me, this is a country, where people celebrated the killing of people; a country where those who refused to do so were named as bastard.

There's nothing in this country except savage groups of people, fighting with each others. In the past people grouped into tribes for their own safe, because they couldn't face the life alone, in that savage era. People here still gathering in to cover their cowardity to face the life. Patriots call it as the traditional culture of Sri Lanka. But for me, is a sign of underdevelopment.

"Fashion" is a subject that people in here can never feel, although they are doing fashion a lot. In other word, they do fashions, they do copy fashions, but none of those fashions becomes styles in their life. No matter how much they talk about fashion, still I can't walk in a street wearing a short skirt, without being captured into those insulting eyes, which are also filled with hidden and hypocritical desires.

Tattoos, piercing etc are used as styles and fashions all around the world, but in here, if will only qualify you to being named as a prostitute by civilians and being harassed by policemen.

They say this is the most cultured country in the world. They watch US made porn films in their closet and blame American culture in he open society. They ban their girl friends and wives to do fashions which show off their bare legs and arms while enjoying such views in roads, an in strip dance shows they are organizing secretly.

I don't care they are watching porn and enjoying strip dance or whatever. People should be able to do entertain there lives. But the only problem I have is they are standing against them while secretly enjoying them.
