Artist = Engineer / 2

Last time I wrote that Civil Engineering is a half science plus half art. The artist feels something intangiable where he will convey that feeling to rest of us through his Art.

Then how could Engineer become a half artist?..confused??

Engineer feels the answer (which is an art) and then use his science to achive that answer ...that is an art..

  3. It has been a long time since you have said something in your blog. What you have written now clearly say that its something intangible, the feelings... which means that its unmeasureable. You cannot be assured of what standard to use to measure its existence. Better yet, you have to benchmarking first before you can do some calculations.

  4. Ayya this is really interesting and funny.And when some of my friends wants to obtain some answers they use this method (This is another method like Newton Rapson,Secant,Regular Falsi .....)to obtain it. However ayya I completely agree with you when you say that Civil Engineering is an art.(Not to mansion that I am still an UG. So, it is better to say the Engineering field can be considered as art and Civil is the best.)The reason is that Civil is the field that needs 100% creativity and innovativeness because Civil is all about what the world see and feel.

  5. I'm from Oakland and San Francisco, and I talk to civil engineers and consulting engineers all the time about whether they think they're artists or not. Most of them don't think they are lol :) http://www.UrbanDesignCE.com
